I'm feeling so good this week! Not only did I lose a pound last week, but I've started this week off right with some exercise. I know some people would rather exercise than diet but I'm the opposite. I'd rather diet than exercise...but I know I need to do both to successfully lose the weight and keep it off. With the help of Nutrisystem I've lost a total of 32 pounds so far!

Nutrisystem Weigh In Week 24

I'm loving all the new Nutrisystem changes. I received a shipment of frozen foods last week, and was surprised to find some yummy new foods. I love Nutrisystem's fresh-frozen foods, they are so good especially the lunches. I have to say the frozen pizzas and the Steak and Cheese Melt are my favorites, but this week I got to try the Beef, Bean, and Cheese Burrito and it was really good. I love the breakfast burrito too, I think part of it has to do with how filling they are.

This week I didn't lose or gain any weight. I just stayed the same. I can't complain too much, since I lost 2 pounds last week, and staying the same is better than gaining. I really need to up my water intake, I noticed I don't drink nearly as much water as I use too.

Not only did I get to try some new lunches this week, I also tried out some new dinners. The Whole Wheat Ricotta Crepes from the new Chef's Table dinners was pretty good. I love pasta, so it's nice to still be able to eat pasta and lose weight!

I've been eating my Nutriystem pizzas for dinner, since I LOVE PIZZA, but this week I'm going to change it up and try out the rest of my Chef's Table dinners. Tonight I'm looking forward to trying the Moroccan Inspired Chicken. The chicken in almond sauce looks yummy!

The FairyPaint Box Review and Giveaway!

As a product reviewer, I've gotten to review a lot of great products. Many of the products I've reviewed, I've liked, but none of them have taken my breath away like the hand painted wall letters I received from The Fairy Paintbox.

Emily, the owner and artist of The Fairy Paintbox, was wonderful to work with. She wanted me to get the feel of the whole process and let me pick the letter font, the design I liked (Star Wars), and sent me updates and pictures of the work in progress. When I received the letters I was stunned. Actually I wasn't the only one, EVERYONE in my family was super impressed. Seriously, they are gorgeous. There's so much detail put into each letter, and the fact they they are hand painted is amazing. The paint adds texture to the letters, making them pop. Emily is a very talented artist.

The wooden letters are sturdy and perfect for hanging on the wall. The letters of my son's name are connected, but you can also purchase the letters unconnected or separate, like in the pictures below.

About the Artist:

Emily started painting murals in 2005 to help pay for school, while she was a junior at Penn State University. She was also a young single mom at the time and couldn't bear to be away from her daughter, so she tried figuring out ways to make her painting business function from home. After being asked to create wall letters, Emily knew the direction she wanted to go with her business. After her first successful wall letter order, she started advertising online and received such an amazing response that within a year, painting wall letters became her primary source of income.

After graduating Penn State in 2007, she had fully developed her online business selling all kinds of custom children's decor and continues doing so today. Over the past two years business has grown significantly. Emily is now married with four young children, operating the business and working on her first novel. Emily also has her own mom blog at www.fourlittlemonsters.com which has been featured in The Penn Starter magazine as well as Metrokids magazine.

Sweets On a Stick! Book Review and Giveaway!

I love baking and decorating. I think it's because I like to make things pretty! I got into decorating cakes and cupcakes a few years back when I took cake decorating classes at Michaels, and I really enjoy it. I'm always look for new, fun, and creative ideas so I when I was asked to review Sweets on a Stick, recipe book, I happily said, "Yes!"

Sweets on a Stick has over 150 kid-friendly recipes for cakes, candies, cookies, and pies! There are so many great recipes in this book, one for any occasion you can think of. The book is divided into different sections, (one section for cake pops, another for cookies on a stick, etc.) making it easy to find recipes by dessert.

I really like the first chapter, which explains the different equipment and ingredients you may be working with. I've never made cake pops before so I found this section really informative. One of the best things about Sweets on a Stick is all the great pictures. All the recipes are so cute and creative. I just wish there was a picture for every recipe, so I can have an idea of what the final outcome will look like.

I haven't had a chance to make anything yet but I can't wait to try making cake pops. Since Valentine's is the next "holiday," I plan on using the recipe to create the "Bunch of Roses" cakes pops. They're so cute and would be perfect for my Valentine!

This was my first official week starting Nutrisystem SUCCESS, and I LOVE all the new changes. Nutrisystem has added some new items to their menu, including protein shakes. This week I tried their two new breakfast items, the Chocolate Frosted Donut and the Honey Wheat Bagel...and let me tell you they are DELICIOUS!! I'm so happy I can have a bagel with cream cheese (low-fat, of course!) for breakfast, it's so good.

I really like that Nuturisystem has added protein shakes to their SUCCESS program. I've been having one every morning with my breakfast and I've noticed that I feel fuller longer. The protein shakes come in Creamy Chocolate, Refreshing Coffee, Smooth Vanilla, and Sweet Strawberry. My absolute favorite is the Refreshing Coffee with Creamy Chocolate coming in second.

Along with the protein shakes, Nutrisystem sent me a cool little shake mixer/cup. I've always made my protein shakes with the blender so I was a little skeptical about using the shake mixer/cup, but I gave it a try and it is AWESOME!! I'm so glad I don't have to dirty my blender, I just mix my shake in the mixer cup and drink it from there....EASY!

I can't believe another year has come and gone. Time is going by way too fast. No more holiday foods to tempt me around the house, no more excuses! This week I didn't gain any weight but I didn't lose any either. It's been pretty embarrassing having to admit that I haven't lost any weight/gained weight, but I'm sharing my weight loss journey honestly. I'm far from perfect and you've seen me struggle with my diet during the holidays...but now they're over...and I'm ready to kick butt again!

Zazzle Personalized T-shirts Review

I'm a huge fan of personalized gifts, not just for Christmas gifts but for birthdays and special occasions too. Personalization just makes everything more special.

I was recently introduced to Zazzle and was surprised by how much they have to offer. You can personalize almost anything! From shirts, hats, iphone cases, binders, Doodle speakers, aprons, etc. Seriously, its so cool! I was able to pick some items to review and I decided on some Big Bro/Lil Bro matching shirts for my boys.

There are tons of Big Bro/Lil Bro shirts to choose from, and they're all so cute! I chose the MOD Blocks Big Bro/Lil Bro blue and brown personalized t-shirts for my boys. What I found out about Zazzle is that you can truly personalize the shirts to your liking. I picked the regular white t-shirts for my boys but you can even choose the style and color of the shirt. Pretty cool!

(Lil Bro doesn't like taking pictures, I tried to get him in but he escaped!)

The Big Bro and Lil Bro shirts are too cute! Seriously I love seeing my boys in their matching personalized shirts. My oldest loves being the big brother and was super happy with his shirt, especially since it had his name on it. He was even happier when he saw that his little brother had a matching shirt too! I like that the shirts are soft and comfortable for the kids, and that they're true to size.

Now that I know about Zazzle I'm definitely going to be buying my personalized gifts from them. Valentines will be here soon and I know I can find my hubby something cool.

Well Christmas is officially over....awww that makes me so sad. I love Christmas time, but seriously the food was killing me! I didn't want to ruin the holidays by denying myself some goodies, but honestly some days I indulged a little more than others. Ok, maybe a lot more! So needless to say I was pretty scared to step on the scale after Christmas. Well guess what? I only gained 1 pound!!! I was seriously thinking more along the lines of 4 or 5 pounds but 1 pound gained during Christmas time is alright with me!

New Years is just around the corner and I've already ordered my first shipment of Nutriystem SUCCESS, I can't wait to get started. The new foods looks so yummy, especially the bagel for breakfast. Shutterfly Photobook Review and Giveaway

I'm officially done with Christmas shopping! I love giving out personalized gifts, and Shutterfly has so many great photo gifts. I've been a fan of Shutterfly since 2007, when I bought my first photo book. It was a gift for my dad and it took my breath away. Everyone in my family loved it. Since then I've made photo books for family members and gave them as Christmas gifts.

One of my favorite photo books I created as a Christmas gift, was for my sister-in-law. I made a 8"x8" photo book of her pregnancy. It turned out beautiful and she loved it. I choose a hard covered book because they look so professional. Everything about the photo book is professional looking, from the binding, the sharp pictures, and the ability to personalize almost anywhere on the book.

I've ordered photo books from another site but I honestly have to say that Shutterfly's quality is the best. Shutterfly's pictures look sharp and are true to color, compared to other places where the colors are off and the picture quality is grainy. Shutterfly's website is also easy to use. I know the thought of creating a photo book sounds intimidating but it's really not hard at all.

Shutterfly's Storytelling destination, includes tips on how best to capture your stories and memories through photo books by Shutterfly Chief Storyteller Heather Maddan. Each month features different content and December is focused on family storytelling, including tips on capturing unique holiday photos and how to tell your family's story through pictures.

I did it! I did it! I finally hit the 30 pound mark! Woohoo, it feels so good knowing I've lost 30 pounds since I started Nutrisystem 19 weeks ago. What have I gained from losing 30 pounds? My confidence!!! I feel so much better about myself. Not only am I getting my shape back but I know I'm getting healthier too. I've dropped a couple of pant sizes and even shirt sizes, and I'm definitely enjoying shopping for more clothes.

I have to admit that the holidays have been hard on my diet. We've been Christmas shopping like crazy and often times stop to grab a bite to eat. There's also tons of cookies and candies everywhere I turn. I'm so glad I'm still able to lose weight on Nutrisystem during the holidays. This weekend my husband and I our going on our first cruise and we're super excited. I know there is going to be free food at every corner and I plan to enjoy myself...because I know when I come home Nutrisystem will help me get back on track!

Summer's Hair Boutique Review & Giveaway

Since I found out I was having a girl, I have become obsessed with all things girly - pink, lace, frills, BOWS. I can't get enough. I'm always on Etsy, and I'm excited to share Summer's Hair Bowtique with you. She has some of the CUTEST and GIRLIEST items.

I love this pink and black headband. I love the color combination, and those pearls and the jewel really make it come together.

How adorable are these leopard baby booties?? Seriously?! They are just so teeny-tiny and sweet. Love the little bows too. I want them.

Summer has all kinds of flower clips. I love these because you can mix and match your clips with your headbands to create custom headbands for every outfit.

And hair feathers are all the rage right now, apparently. I see them on girls everywhere.

Summer sent me a really cute flowered headband and this pretty pink rosette headband. The frayed rosettes are shabby chic - it's quickly becoming my favorite. Love the jewel in the middle too. We get compliments on it all the time. And the quailty of both headbands are really great.

Holiday Gift Idea: Zumba Fitness 2 for Wii

Christmas shopping is in full swing. If you know anyone who loves to dance or is looking for a new workout routine, Zumba Fitness 2 would make a great gift.

I've never danced/played the first Zumba Fitness but I'd seen commercials for it and of course I've seen commercials for the Zumba workout DVDs, and they looked like fun. I'd also heard from others that the first Zumba Fitness for Wii is a "real" workout, so I was excited to review Zumba Fitness 2!

Zumba Fitness 2 features hit music from Pitbull, Nicole Scherzinger, and Yolanda Be Cool & DCup. The copy I received also included a Zumba Fitness belt for my Wii remote so that I could dance hands free! I really like that it comes with the fitness belt. One of my favorite things about Zumba Fitness is the great music. In order to want to keep dancing and moving, I need high energetic music and Zumba Fitness has it.

Zumba Fitness 2 has 4 different game modes. If you don't have much time or only want to dance one routine there's a "Single Song" option. If you want a real workout you can choose the "Full Class" option and choose between 20, 45, or 60 minute workout routines. I really like the 20 minute workout, it's perfect for those crazy busy days. You can also create your own custom routine by saving a playlist of your favorite songs. My favorite option is the "Multiplayer" mode, this allows up to 4 players to join the party. I think working out with a partner is so much more fun than working out alone. The last game mode is "Learn the Steps", this is another one of my favorites because I'm sooo not coordinated and it takes me a little longer to learn the dances!

I had fun dancing to Zumba Fitness 2 and it's a good workout too. I plan to invite some of my friends over to try it out, because I know I'll have even more fun with them.

The Zero Scale Review

The scale has never been my friend. Of course except when I'm dieting and losing weight! Being that I have a love/hate relationship with the scale, I was pretty excited to review The Zero Scale.

Why would I be excited to review a scale, when I have a love/hate relationship with scales? Because the Zero Scale doesn't show you how much you weigh! The Zero Scale is unique in that it only reports the amount of weight you lose or gain. You never see how much you actually weigh (unless you want to), you only see incremental changes.

The Zero Scale has a sleek modern design. The glass design looks really nice. The first time I tried it out I expected to see how much I weighed and then never again after that. LOL, I should have read the instructions better, because it clearly states that the scale will track your weight without revealing the total number. I thought that was pretty cool. For a second I wish I didn't know how much I weighed, but I'm one of those people who has to weighs in daily. The next day I got on and the scale showed me a gain of 0.8, and the day after, a loss of 1.6. I am definitely loving this scale. I like that I don't have to see my weight every time I get on it (the numbers aren't pretty) and I still get to see whether I've lost or gained. It also tracks my progress from my first weigh in, this is a huge plus!

Right now I'm on a weight loss journey and I think The Zero Scale is perfect for my journey. I love that it will help me keep track of my progress!

December is here!!! December is my favorite month of the year. Not just because of Christmas, which is my FAVORITE holiday, but also because it's my birthday month! Tomorrow I turn 27. This weekend I went shopping for some new clothes (a birthday present from my mom, who is the BEST MOM in the whole wide world!) and was really happy to find some cute clothes. I forgot how much I loved shopping. Before starting Nutrisystem, I dreaded shopping. This time I walked out of the store feeling good!

I'm sure you remember last week I gained 2 pounds while being on Thanksgiving break. Although I was pretty bummed, I also realized that it was probably water weight from all the bad foods I'd been eating. So this week, I stuck with my Nutrisystem plan and drank LOTS and LOTS of water. I peed like crazy, but by the end of the week, I lost those 2 pounds. Yay!

My husband and I are both fans of country music, so being able to review Country Dance 2 for the Wii was pretty cool. To be honest, I don't play the Wii very often, because we also don't have very many games. So I was pretty excited to try out Country Dance 2. One thing I love about Wii games is they're perfect for almost everybody in the family, which means my husband and 8-year-old joined me for some country dancing.

Country Dance 2 has so many great songs from very popular artists. I wasn't expecting to know so many of the singers, but I ended up knowing almost all of them! If you love Country music you will love the selection of music on Country Dance 2.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was a total FAILURE this week. My husband and I were both off of work for the week, for Thanksgiving vacation and boy did I get my grub on. To be honest, I figured I would just cheat on Thanksgiving day, then get back on my Nutrisystem diet and be good. I was so wrong! There was food everywhere and I couldn't resist. Now I know how hard it is to be on a diet during the holidays. This week I gained 2 pounds.

I guess 2 pound isn't too bad, considering all the food I ate. I actually didn't do too bad on Thanksgiving. I had been sick Tuesday and Wednesday so my appetite wasn't too big on Thanksgiving day. It was shopping the Black Friday sales that got me. I had Jack in the Box about 1 AM on Black Friday and then when I shopped more on the weekend I had more fast food. Of course having family down for the holidays didn't help either. We did a lot of eating out with the family.

I'm pretty disappointed in the weight gain, but at the same time it's a good reminder about how bad my eating habits can get. As much as I want to lose the weight quickly, I have to realize that losing weight for good is a lifestyle change. I've seen that when I commit myself, I can lose weight. I did bad this last week, but I'm not going to give up. I'll be back on my Nutrisystem program this week to lose those 2 pounds I gained!!

Yo Gabba Gabba Live Review

You gotta jump, shake, shimmy them out, you gotta jump, shake, shimmy them out! Yes, you gotta "Get the Sillies out" LOL! Last Tuesday night my family and I were rocking out to Yo Gabba Gabba Live. My 18-month-old son had a great time seeing his favorite characters live on stage, singing and dancing. I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect but seeing Yo Gabba Gabba Live is just like watching the show, only way more exciting!

Yo Gabba Gabba Live was entertaining, lively, and interactive with the audience. It really felt like a concert for kids, with the loud music and bright lights. It was fun to see and hear all the little kids singing and dancing along.

I love that there was a huge screen in back of the Yo Gabba Gabba crew, sometimes is displayed people from the audience and other times it flashed cartoons. It was also helpful for those (such as ourselves) who were sitting far in the back. Sorry, this picture doesn't show the screen. I wasn't able to get very many good pictures, as we were very far from the stage.

My favorite part of the show was when Biz Markie came out for Biz's Beat of the Day. I wasn't expecting him to make an appearance but he did, and he was really entertaining. He interacted with the audience and even had kids on stage busting beats! It didn't feel like it was just for kids and I got into it too. My husband says Biz's Beat of the Day was his favorite part too.

I can't believe I've been on Nutrisystem for 4 months now. It doesn't even feel like it's been that long. Time sure does fly by fast! I'm super excited to announce that Nutrisystem will continue to sponsor me for an additional 3 months! I've had a pretty busy week. First off I got married!!! Now, I know I've been calling my husband "hubby" all this time, but we weren't officially married. We've been together 9 years and living together 8, so we had a common law marriage thing going on...ANYWAYS, we decided to get married. I've always wanted a wedding wedding but I want to lose some more weight (and I know I will!). Instead of waiting til I lost the weight we just had a casual private ceremony in front of our close family. We still plan to have a wedding ceremony for all of our friends and family, and for ME of course LOL.

I also had some great NSV's this week. The first one was from my dad. My dad is hard to impress and hasn't really said anything about my weight loss until this week. He told me, "You lost a lot of weight, you can really til." It felt great to hear this from him, like I said he's hard to impress! The other NSV's happened the night I got married, I got so many compliments and my sister-in-law couldn't believe how much weight I lost. Let's just say I'm LOVING all the compliments :)

Nutrisystem Weigh In Week 15

I've had a great week. I've been doing well on Nutrisystem and the scale is rewarding me with good numbers! This week I lost 2.5 pounds! Pretty awesome, right?!

Weight Loss:

Only 3.5 more pounds to go until I hit the 30 pound mark! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE IT if I could lose the 3.5 pounds next week, but I'm not going to hold my breathe LOL! I know it will happen soon, though. Since I've started Nutrisystem the weight has been melting off. Nutrisystem works and it's so easy!

How Easy? This easy...

I choose which foods I would like to eat for the month, they are delivered to my door, I follow the program (eating Nutrisystem foods along with fruits and veggies) and tada the weight comes off. Yes, I do have bad days, where I am tempted by junk food. I'm not perfect and sometimes I cheat (sometimes more than others) but the Nutrisystem program is too easy not to lose weight. It's convenient having all my foods portioned out and ready to eat AND most important the food tastes GOOD!

I'm in love...of course with my hubby, but also with the baby deedee Sleep Nest. I'm so glad I was asked to review it, because I seriously think this is one of the best gift ideas for baby. It would also make a GREAT baby shower gift. I so wish I would have had one a year and a half ago when I had my baby.

Ok, so you're probably wondering what is a Sleep Nest. The Sleep Nest is a wearable blanket also called a baby sleeping bag or sleep sack. It's used in place of loose blankets. No more worrying about baby kicking off his blanket and being cold. The Sleep Nest helps baby stay warm at night without any blankets.

I received the Sleep Nest in Dream Pink for review. From the picture on the website, I was a little worried the material was going to be uncomfortable, but it's actually super soft. It feels like a nice thick bed comforter. Babies will be nice and cozy sleeping in their Sleep Nest. I like that it has both a zipper and snaps. The zipper makes it easy to change baby's diaper in the night. I really like the Sleep Nest, I think it's a great product. I've already recommended it to a friend who is expecting. A perfect gift for a new mommy.

Nutrisystem Weigh In Week 14

Dieting is getting harder and harder now that the holidays are here and near. I've been over indulging in my son's Halloween candy and I seriously need to toss them out as they seem to weaken my willpower! BUT I'm happy to say that besides the occasional candy binge I've been sticking to my Nutrisystem program and I lost 1 pound this week!

Weight Loss:

24 pounds in 14 weeks, not too bad not too bad if I do say so myself LOL! Yes, I'm feeling pretty confident, that seems to happen more and more as the pounds fall off. People are definitely starting to notice now, and it's nice that my hard work is paying off. It's actually not that hard since Nutrisytem is super convenient, providing all my meals. The hardest part is saying "no" to all the junk food around me. I'm so close to hitting the 30 pound mark and I know I can do it with WILLPOWER and NUTRISYSTEM!

Not only is the book personalized but the story, "The Story of Christmas" is really good. I haven't read a more thorough children's story about the Christmas Story. It doesn't just tell about Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus, but actually goes into detail about the Christmas story and includes scriptures from the bible. I am really impressed with it. The story is wonderful and the book is high quality. It has a hard cover, the pages are nice and thick, and the words are large print.

I love the football style shirt, with the striped sleeves. Super cute.

Christie, bless her heart, sent us a surprise - an extra shirt for Mr. Max. He knows the letters of his name, and so this shirt had become one of this favorites! I love the bright green and white against the blue, and again, the quality of the shirt is just awesome. We love it a lot.

Life is CRAZY!

I hope you all had a great Halloween! I started back to work last week (after 6 weeks of maternity leave) and my husband has been out of town for work training for a month, and to say I've been overwhelmed is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I seriously gotta hand it to you single moms! I don't know how do it!

Also, don't even ask how it's been leaving my itty-bitty baby to go back to work. I don't want to talk about it! *sniff-sniff*

Nutrisystem Weigh In Week 13

I can't believe it's been 13 weeks since I started Nutrisystem. I feel so much better about myself, not just on how I look but also how I feel. This year I started at my heaviest weight (no, I'm not going to tell you!) and I lost 23 pounds on my own and then sort of gave up. Now that I'm part of the Nutrisystem family, I'm continuing my weight loss journey. This week I lost 2 pounds, for a total of 23 pounds in 13 weeks. Thank you Nutrisystem!

Weight Loss:

One of things I love about Nutrisystem is the consistent weight loss. If you follow the program, you will lose weight.

(All MY favorite meals!)

Lately I've been slacking when it comes to drinking my 64oz of water and eating my fruits and veggies. I've also given into cheating a few times here and there. While today is the start of a new month and I plan being stricter with my diet and include in exercise!

Nutrisystem Weigh In Week 12

I've had a crazy hectic week. Yesterday was my son's birthday, so all week I've been running around getting his party ready, on top of work, housework, homework, and sports. I was stressed out and didn't stick to my Nutrisystem program very well. I ate most of my Nutrisystem meals...but I also cheated a lot. I was BAD.

HOW BAD??

I had french fries when we took my son to see Toy Story 3 on ice. I had pizza and cake at his party. I had Denny's on the day of his actual birthday AND Oreo ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins....FREAKIN' DELICIOUS! But as you can see I was BAD, BAD, BAD! So I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see I lost 0.5 pound this week.

Weight Loss:

Ok, so normally I would be hoping to lose more than 0.5 in a week, but after having such a bad week, I'm relieved I lost anything!

Disney On Ice Toys Story 3 in Bakersfield!

I had a great time tonight! My family and I were invited to see Disney On Ice Toy Story 3 in Bakersfield and we really enjoyed it. Not only did we get to see all the gang from Toy Story 3 but Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck also made an appearance.

Disney On Ice Toy Story 3 is very upbeat with lots of music. The kids loved it. I was trying to take pictures of them but they wouldn't take their eyes off the show to pose for the camera.

My favorite part of the show was when Barbie came out. She danced to "Barbie Girl" and "Girl's Just Want to have Fun." I have to admit I felt like a little girl watching. I loved Barbie in Toy Story 3 and she rocked the show on Ice! She was ditsy and sassy, and so much fun to watch.

I also liked the scene when the toys met the kids from Sunnyside Daycare for the first time. I was curious about how they were going to pull it off, considering that the "toys" are life-size. Well they pulled it off...but I'm not going to tell you how! That's a surprise you're going to have to see for yourself, but I thought it was pretty cool how they portrayed the scene.

If you're like my husband and I who grew up watching Toy Story you'll like the end. I didn't expect to get emotional, since the show was so lively and upbeat, but at the end when Andy came out and talked about each toy, I actually felt sad.

Disney On Ice Toy Story 3 was a hit with my family. I know my boys enjoyed it!

I did it, I finally did it!! I lost 20 pounds....20.5 to be exact! Yes, I'm super happy and pretty proud of myself. Being on the Nutrisystem program REALLY works! I feel great and I'm liking how I look. My husband is taking me on a cruise this December for my birthday (isn't he the best?!) and I'm excited to go dress shopping, especially since I have a little more time to lose a few more pounds!

I love how watches can be fashion accessories. Of course a watch on it's own is practical for keeping time, but being able to customize a watch to your preference is pretty cool.

I was able to create my own Modify Watch to review and I chose the green face and green strap. Green is my son's favorite color, so whenever green is an option, I pick it! The folks from Modify Watches were kind enough to send me an extra strap (in black) so that I could "Modify" my watch. Now I have a watch that can be modified into two different looks!

The straps are flexible and and soft. They also fit men and women, as well as kids. My soon to be 8-year-old loves wearing it (he's wearing it right now!). Snuggy Baby Ring Sling Review and Giveaway

When Max was a baby, I always wanted to get a sling, but for some reason I never got around to finding one. During my pregnancy with Caroline, I knew that this time, I was definitely going to get some kind of sling or wrap, because I knew I had a toddler to chase around, and wearing the baby seemed like the easiest way to keep everyone happy. SnuggyBaby sent me the Sparrow Linen Banded Ring Sling to try out.

I was still pregnant when my sling came in the mail, and I have to admit that I was a little intimidated. Luckily, SnuggyBaby includes an instructional dvd on how to wear your sling. Finally, Caroline was home, and I was ready to try to wear her. The first few times, I really didn't feel confident in my positioning - it seemed like she wasn't happy and I didn't think she felt very secure. (Please excuse the dirty hair and bags under my eyes!)

After a little more practice, I finally got more comfortable with the sling, and I love it! I have even breastfed in the sling! It's so much easier to chase after Max, and get things done around the house, and Caroline stays happy because she is being snuggled nonstop. It's awesome!

This weekend I wore Caroline in the ring sling in public, for the first time. We went to an Oktoberfest and the pumpkin patch. I brought the stroller, and grabbed the sling, just in case. I actually preferred the sling because it kept Caroline from fussing - she was asleep instantly. It was easier to maneuver through the crowds, and I was still able to keep up with Max. I got lots of comments from many people. Babywearing isn't as common where I live, but I really have been preaching about the benefits for sure. I've only been babywearing for a few weeks, but SnuggyBaby has made me a believer! I'm looking forward to trying out the different types of holds as my baby grows!

Nutrisystem Week Weigh In #10

It's weigh in time again. It's been 10 weeks since I've started the Nutrisystem program and this week I lost 2 pounds! I'm only 1.5 pounds away from hitting the 20 pound mark and I'm crossing my fingers it happens this week!! I know that as long as I stick to the program, hitting the 20 pound mark this week is very possible!

Weight Loss:

I have another non-scale victory I'd like to share with you. When I first started Nutrisystem in August, I bought myself two pairs of jeans. They were snug, and I loved the way they looked on my booty. Two months later, and I LITERALLY have to keep pulling them up because they just keep sliding down my butt! Seriously! I've got some hips on me so I'm not use to having pants work there way down. My pants don't look as great on me as they did when I bought them. They now sag on my butt...not cute. But I'm not complaining! Sometimes it's hard to notice the weight loss, but when you're clothes start to get loose, there's no denying it! My booty's shrinking!!!

Tiny Prints Holiday Cards

Wow, I can't believe it's October already! OMG, time is flying and the holidays are just around the corner. I love creating personalized gifts and cards, so I've been browsing around Tiny Prints looking for some Christmas cards for our family.

I'm loving the Merry Love Christmas cards. They caught my eye right away with their uniqueness. As you can see they're not you're average square Christmas card. They're an ornament card! I've never seen an ornament card before but what a cool idea. I love that they can be hung on a tree, what a great way to display Christmas cards. Tiny Prints has more ornament cards with different designs.

I also really like the Merry-Making and the Merrily Woven Cards, they're really nice. Decisions, Decisions! Tiny Prints has so many great Holiday Card choices, it's hard to pick just one. I think I'm going to go with the Merry Love Christmas cards for our family, I really like them.

Nutrisystem Weigh In Week #9

Mmmm...I just had a yummy all American breakfast! Biscuit, gravy, and egg (yes, 1 egg LOL)! I love that I can eat good food while being on the Nutrisystem program. I had a good week and I lost 1.5 pounds!

Weight Loss:

Besides my 1.5 pound lost, I also had 2 non-scale victories this week. The first was from my mother-in-law who told me, "I can tell you're losing weight, you can see it in your waist." The second was from my father-in-law who said, "How's your exercise going? You can see that you're losing weight." He told me this a couple of days after my mother-in-law told me. It feels really great to hear that other people are noticing my weight loss. My hubby tells me all the time that I'm shrinking, but it's really nice to hear it from other family members too.

I'm feeling even more motivated, now that I know others are noticing my weight loss. Only 3.5 more pounds til I hit the 20 pound mark!! I'm so happy and excited :)

"Take-Out" Game Review

I love a good family game night. Since it's just my husband, me and our 7 year old (old enough to play games), we usually go to my mom's house and play games with my brother and sister. The more player's the merrier, right?!

This week we tried a new game called "Take-Out" from Marina games. I received "Take-Out" for review and I was surprised how small the game is. Then again, the slogan on the side of the box says, " Years of Fun in One Little Box." Size is unimportant when it comes to fun!

Take-Out is for ages 8+ and can have 2 or more players. The game is simple, easy to learn, and has only a few pieces, dice and a cup.

How to Play:

Roll the 10 red dice.
Roll the two white dice. Take out numbered combinations. Repeat.
Avoid getting eliminated.

Objective: To avoid accumulating a score of 150 points.

Despite the small box, Take-Out is actually fun, just like it says on the box. My brother ended up being the winner of our first game and my poor hubby was the first one out! My 7 year old and I both liked it and had fun playing. I like that the game is both challenging and educational. Math is a huge part of this game. Coming up with number combinations using addition, subtraction, even multiplication, really makes you use your head!

I recently gave away a copy of Modern Family Season 2 on DVD on Mommy Loves Giveaways, and I also received a copy of the 3-disc set for review. I'm so happy I was able to receive Modern Family season 2 on DVD because my husband and I are huge Modern Family fans. Cameron is our favorite character, he's hilarious! But to be honest all the members of the cast are pretty funny.

The 3-disc set contains all 24 episodes, plus tons of special features. One of my favorite episodes from season 2 is episode 13 "Caught in the Act". This is one hilarious episode where the kids walk in on Claire and Phil doing the "deed"! Another favorite episode of mine is "Bixby's Back" episode 14. It's Valentine's Day and Phil's feisty alter-ego Clive Bixby returns. So funny :)

Spreading Smucker's: Recipe and Essay Contest

My boys love Smucker's jellies, actually so do my husband and I! I'm not very creative in the kitchen, so we normally enjoy our Smucker's jelly on a sandwich, but if you have a recipe with Smucker's as an ingredient, than you want to check out their contest. Nutrisystem Weigh In Week #8

This week has been so frustrating. I've been doing everything right when it comes to losing weight: dieting AND exercising, but the scale is just not cooperating. This week I lost 0 pounds :(

Ugh, it's so discouraging to not see the scale go down, but I know I just need to stick with it. I'm so glad I'm on the Nutrisystem program because it does make dieting easier...it's the exercise I don't like so much LOL!

Weight Loss:

Last month I made a video showing what my first shipment (non-frozen) from Nutrisystem looked like, this month I made a video showing what the fresh-frozen shipment looks like. It's short because I didn't want all my ice creams to melt. Enjoy!

We love Glee in our house. While just my husband and I for now, it's a little too adult for my seven year old. When I first started watching Glee I thought I would be put off by all the music, but really the music is one of the best things about Glee...and of course Sue Slyvester. I received Glee Season 2 on Blu-ray for review, and let me tell you it is jam packed with extras. It's a 4-disc set that contains all 22 episodes from season 2. Pregnant Pauses Review and Giveaway

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. Mostly. But it's also really, really hard on your body. You have to deal with the extra weight, the squishing of organs, sleepless nights, heartburn, and many, many more issues. It can be tough!

Now, I'm no longer pregnant, but a couple months ago, I was contacted by Pregnant Pauses and asked if I would like to try out their DVD set designed to teach you how to move in ways that would alleviate the stress and pain in your new body. Of course I was interested. The six different "Pauses" teach you how to move so that everyday tasks are easier.

You can use the DVD set as little or often as you like, but obviously the more you do, the better you feel. I wasn't able to do the "Pauses" as often as I would have liked, but I did find them interesting, and I do think I felt the differences. I think my energy increased, and I really did find it help with my hip pain.

My son loves playing with construction sets. His room is full of large blocks, small blocks, round, square...you get the picture! So when I received a box of Laser Pegs for review, I knew he was going to love them.

National award winning Laser Pegs are the worlds only lighted construction set. Laser Pegs use a high quality LED that will run about 100,000 hours. Each piece, when connected with another, feeds the next piece a low voltage current. Laser Pegs come in different shapes which include square, wheel, straight, 90 degree, and Y shaped. With so many different shapes and pieces, kids will be able to make their own unique creations.

I received the Laser Pegs "Mini Monster Bug" kit for review. My kit included 36 assorted Laser Pegs shapes and a power unit and cord. My sons eyes lit up as soon as he seen the box and he kept asking if they were his. He couldn't wait to start playing with them.

The pieces are clear and plastic and connect easily together. When they are connected to the power unit they light up brightly. I like that the set came with directions on how to make several different creations such as a dune racer, peg laser gun, and power sword. Of course, since my son is a huge Star Wars fan, he made a "light saber" right away. It looked really cool especially once it was lit up.

I think Laser Pegs are a pretty neat and my son really liked them too. With the holidays just around the corner I think Laser Pegs would make a pretty unique and fun gift!

Bridesmaids, Girls Night In!!

My "Girls Night In" was a success!! My friends and I had such a great time this weekend hanging out and watching Bridesmaids. It was so nice to able to relax and have a good time with friends. We ate pizza and drank "Pink Panties" while we watched the movie. Everyone loved Bridesmaids, it had us laughing our butts off. There was one scene in the movie that the girls liked so much, they watched twice it! At the end of the movie I asked what they thought about it and they said, "Hilarious" and "It was so funny!"

Bridesmaids was a big hit with the girls. My husband watched it the next day and liked it too. Bridesmaids comes to Blu-Ray and DVD this Tuesday, September 20th, make sure you pick up a copy!

Pretty Pink Cupcakes...and watching the movie!

I love losing weight! I feel great and my confidence is going up. I'm starting to enjoy shopping for clothes again. Before I began losing weight on Nutrisystem, I never wanted to go shopping. Now I'm getting shirts in a smaller size and I'm feeling better about how I look. This week I lost 2 more pounds!!

Normally I never stray from my Nutrisystem pizza at dinner, because I love it so much. But this week I deceided to try the Nutrisystem Flame Boiled Beef Patty. I was a little bit worried about having a hamburger with no chips or fries, but I ended up liking it a lot!

That's the great thing about sticking with Nutrisystem, my body is getting use to the portion sizes! I thought eating the hamburger without chips/fries would leave me still feeling hungry, but nope I ended up feeling full.

I'm really excited about all the new changes, not just my weight loss, but also about how good I feel now :)

I can't believe Halloween is just around the corner. It's time to pick out costumes and have some fun! With so many fun and sexy costumes to choose from it's hard to decide what to be!

Yandy is an online shop that sells lingerie and sexy costumes. Everything is very sexy and stylish! They have a huge selection of costumes and even offer same day shipping, for orders placed before 4 pm PST.

I was able to choose a costume for review and I decided to pick a sexy one. I choose the Makin' Waves Sexy Sailor costume. My husband is taking me on a cruise for my birthday and I think this will be a nice little "Thank You" surprise!

This costume is soooo cute and super sexy. I love the material, it's nice and stretchy so it clings perfectly to my body. The costume is a stretch knit dress with padded cups and underwire. It has navy pipping, and gold foil bows and hem trim. The costume is a 3-piece set that includes the dress, a long sleeved shrug, and a sailor hat that also has a gold foil bow.

The dress is very comfortable and soft. It looks really nice and you can tell it's a good quality costume. No cheap looking material here. The navy and gold look great together and all of the details on the costume are just perfect.

I love this costume. It's super sexy and comfortable to wear. I really like that it has underwear cups, because a little support never hurts! I just KNOW my husband is going to LOVE this costume too!

Bridesmaids DVD Party!

I'm super excited! I've been invited to host a Bridesmaids DVD party. This will be my first time watching the movie, and I'm excited. I've heard this movie is really funny so I can't wait to see it.

This party is going to be so much fun! It's going to be a girls night in, with lot's of food, snacks, and drinks....I might even make some Jello shots! Girls nights are always fun with me and my girls, and it's been a while since we've had one so I'm going to try to make this one extra special. I'm going to go with a pink theme, pink is my favorite color and it's nice and girly. I'll be keeping the food simple with pizza, chips and dip, and I'll also be making pink cupcakes for dessert. I'll be passing out gift bags to all the ladies filled with lots of fun treats.

I'm pretty sure my drinks aren't going to come out this pretty, but I'll try!

I'm still deciding on what drink to make, but right now I'm thinking Pink Panties. I found a recipe on Drinks Mixer :

Pink Pantie

1 oz Vodka
2 oz pink lemonade
3 oz Sprite Soda
Pour vodka over ice, add lemonade, followed by Sprite.

I've seen different ways of making Pink Panties and you can find more recipes online, but I like that this one is nice and simple.

I had a great week this week! After losing my grandma last week and giving into emotional eating and gaining a pound back, I knew I had get back in the game. Not only did I stick to my Nutrisystem program I also added in some exercise!! I hate exercising and to be honest this is the first week I added it in since I began Nutrisystem. The results were amazing, I lost 4 pounds this week!!

Weight Loss:

Week 2-----0 pounds lost
Week 3-----4 pounds lost
Week 4-----2 pounds lost
Week 5---- +1 pound gained
Week 6-----4 pounds lost

Total Lost: 13 pounds!

Another great thing about this week was receiving my 1st Nutrisystem Bear! His name is Pound, and he marks my 10 lb weight loss. It's so nice to be rewarded.

I can't wait too lose more weight and add more Nutirsystem bears to my collection! Taking off the weight is so much easier with Nutrisystem. I seriously loving being a part of the Nutrisystem Family.

Nutrisystem Weigh In Week #5

This was a tough week for me. Since I've been on Nutrisystem I've been dedicated to following the diet and losing weight. My motivation was sky high, especially when the pounds were melting off. But this week my grandma passed away. My heart is broken and my motivation disappeared. I tried sticking to my diet but I kept pigging out. I know it was emotional eating. This week I gained 1 pound :(

Weight Loss:

Week 1 -----4 pounds
Week 2-----0 pounds
Week 3-----4 pounds
Week 4-----2 pounds
Week 5---- +1 pound

Total Lost: 9 pounds!

I hate that I gained a pound this week, but I know it's my own fault. Part of my weight loss journey is learning how to do deal with my eating triggers and emotional eating is obviously one of them. I was doing great when life was going good, but I have to learn to continue to do good even when life gets rough. This was a rough week. Next week I will get back on track because I know I can do this. I WANT TO DO THIS!

I just got a new shipment of my Frozen meals, they're so good, so I just need to get back in the game!

EdenFantasys Feature

I like browsing around EdenFantasys. They always have great items, and I'm not just talking about the toys! They also carry sexy lingerie, party favors and gag gifts, even aromatherapy candles.

I recently stumbled upon the Lockable Toy Case, and I just knew I had to get one. The lockable toy case has black vinyl lining and is moisture and tear resistant. It also has a briefcase-like lock on the outside.

I love everything about the case, especially the lock. I like that it has a handle, making it easily portable and that it comes in three different colors. I'm a girly girl, so my toughest decision was choosing between the pink or the purple. A great thing about this case is that it doesn't have to be used for adult toys, it can be used for anything you'd like stored and locked away. Letters, pictures, jewelry, even make-up.

I think this would be a great gift for a girlfriend or even for bachelorette parties. I plan on buying one for my best friend for Christmas. The purple one since it's her favorite color. I know she's going to like it. It'll make a fun unique gift! I'm sure it would be even more fun if I include a few items inside :)

Wow, I can't believe it's been one month since I've started Nutrisystem! It honestly doesn't even feel like I'm on a "real" diet. By "real", I mean a diet that I hate and can't wait to get off of. Nutrisystem is nothing like that. I enjoy most of the food and it's so easy and convenient. Best of all I'm having great results so I have no reason to want to get off!

This week I've lost 2 pounds! Making it a total of 10 for my first month. I've also lost 2 inches off my arms and 4 inches off my waist. I'm super happy! My husband keeps telling me he can see me shrinking. I am loving my Nutrisystem results!

Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey "Fully Charged" Review

Wow, my family and I had an awesome time tonight at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey "Fully Charged" Circus! This was all of our first time going to a Ringling Bros. Circus show, and now I know why it's called "The Greatest Show on Earth"!

We arrived early so we could see the animals up close in the animal open house. This is free with admission, but you must arrive early (90 minutes) because after a certain time they close it to get the animals ready for the show. The boys really enjoyed seeing the animals before the show and were impressed with the tigers and elephants.

"Fully Charged" couldn't be a more perfect name for the show. Every part of the performance is bright, energetic and lively. The show is very fast paced and entertaining. Usually during long periods my son will start to get fidgety, but he had no problem staying still for "Fully Charged". He was either cheering and applauding the performers or watching with anticipation!

We all loved the high-wire performance. It was four stories high and the performance was breath taking, seriously my husband held his breath the whole time. We were dazzled by four performers who walked, jumped and even rode a bike on the tight-rope high-wire.

The Tiger act was one of the boys favorites. They were amazed to see Tabayara (the tiger trainer) caged in with 12 tigers! They couldn't believe that the tigers listened to him and did as he said. This was a really fun performance.
My favorite act was The Human Fuse. Brain Maiser aka "The Human Fuse" was launched through the air from a crossbow. I've always heard about the human cannon in a circus show, so I was really excited to see this. Ringling Bros. took it to the next level, not only did Brain soar through the air but he did it WHILE on fire! Yes, they lit him on fire! We loved it!

My family and I had such a great time at the Circus tonight! I know the boys will have some great stories to share with their friends.

There's still time to visit the circus this weekend! Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's "Fully Charged" Tour is in Bakersfield, CA with performances on Saturday, August 27th (times: 11:30 AM, 3:30 PM, and 7:30 PM) and Sunday, August 28th (times: 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM). Ticket prices range from $15-$65 and can be bought at Rabobank.

When it comes to decorating, a little splash of color here and there, can go along way. I love finding simple and affordable ways to decorate my home. Just recently I was introduced to Any Random Jane, an online shop that has stylish decor that is fun,functional, and affordable. The Any Random Jane collection contains wall art, photo mats, and reusable gift tags and place cards. The collection is simple, sleek, and colorful.

I was sent several samples from the Any Random Jane collection for review. I received The Reusable Place Card Kit, a reusable gift tag, and 3 reversible photo mats (4x6, 5x7, and 8x10). All of these items are reusable, tear-proof, and water-proof because they're laminated! Since they're laminated they can be personalized and written on using a dry-erase marker.

I really like The Reusable Place Card Kit. It comes with everything you need: 10 eye-popping laminated place cards and a dry-erase marker WITH an eraser attached, inside a clear handy envelope. The designs on the place cards are cute and modern. I love that they are reusable, if you mess up on someone's name no need to toss out the place card, just erase it and start over!

Nutrisystem weigh in week #3

I had a great week on Nutrisystem this week! Today is my week 3 weigh in and I lost 4 pounds!! I am so happy. I was pretty disappointed last week when the scaled didn't budge, but this week the scale just kept going down, down, down! Seeing the numbers go down on the scale is seriously my biggest motivation. This week I ate a lot of the fresh-frozen foods from the Nutrisystem Select program and LOVED it!

I am so happy to be on the Nutrisystem Women's Select plan. The fresh-frozen foods are soooo good. I mentioned in week 2 that I was having a hard time with the lunch portion of Nutrisystem (I'm a picky eater) but I LIKED everyone of the Nutrisystem frozen lunches. There were some I thought I wouldn't like and ended up loving. I saved the Toasted Ham and Cheese for last because I didn't think I'd like it, but I LOVED it. It was so yummy!
