Small Steps Review + Giveaway

In today's society, it's important to live as "green" as you possible can. That doesn't mean you have to necessarily put solar panels on your roof, drive a hybrid, or recycle everything you use, although these are all great ways to help the environment. Sometimes it's easier to start small. Every little bit helps. One place to start is by using recycled products, like Marcal's new line of recycled paper products.

I received a Small Steps Family Starter Kit to review. It includes:

• Small Steps™ 100% Recycled Bath Tissue from Marcal®
• Small Steps™ 100% Recycled Paper Towels from Marcal®
• Small Steps™ 100% Recycled Paper Napkins from Marcal® (2 kinds)
• Small Steps™ 100% Recycled Facial Tissues from Marcal®

All of these products are 100% recycled, manufactured without chlorine bleach, hypoallergenic, and virtually lint-free. (Not to mention all those trees you are saving!) The toilet paper (bath tissue) is strong and durable, but still gentle on your skin and safe for septic tanks. The paper towels are also available in smaller sheet options, which I think is very cool. The paper napkins are available in dinner and everyday size. Finally, the facial tissues are also available in 2 sizes, flat box or upright. I actually was impressed with the quality of the products. All of them really held up, and I do feel better about the fact that they are 100% recycled. I am not the best at remember to recycle or to take my own bags to the store or to use my own water bottle, but this is something even I can handle!

Marcal has been making it's own paper using recycled paper instead of trees for almost 60 years. They were way ahead of the game! They use recyclables from more than 600 municipalities from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and New England. Pretty amazing stuff.
